A history from family, from Beirut à Paris

In 2013 in Beirut, Roula and her daughter Lina created Maison Roula. At the time, Lina flew to Paris to begin her fashion studies at the Instituto Marangoni, while Roula grew the brand in Lebanon.

Roula, after whom the brand is named, was born in 1963. The youngest of 4 sisters, she developed an interest in fashion as a child and used her mother's sewing machine to make clothes for her sisters. She always had a taste for the unique, and took it to heart to personalise clothes according to each sister's silhouette and personality.

In 1990, she began studying at the École de La Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, from which she graduated in 1993. Maison Roula boasts exceptional expertise acquired by Roula over the years.

On 4 August 2020, a devastating explosion in the port of Beirut blew the sewing workshop to smithereens and shattered the dreams of the mother-daughter duo. But the disaster was not to be. A month after losing almost everything, the two Lebanese women regain their courage and strength and are determined to bounce back. It was in Paris, the source of their inspiration, that they decided to breathe new life into Maison Roula.

In 2022, Maison Roula moved to the heart of Paris's 6th arrondissement and established itself as one of the leading names in the French wedding scene.

A know-how exceptional, a tradition preserved

Each La Maison Roula creation is the fruit of traditional craftsmanship handed down from generation to generation and perfected over the years. We make it a point of honour to create entirely made-to-measure wedding and evening dresses, adapted to the morphology and desires of each customer. Each dress is designed in our Beirut workshop using carefully selected fabrics, delicate handmade embroidery and impeccable finishing touches. Maison Roula also combines Parisian elegance with Lebanese heritage. When we set up our workshop in the heart of the 6th arrondissement of Paris, we brought with us the richness of our oriental inspirations while at the same time immersing ourselves in Parisian fashion. It's this dual influence that makes our creations so unique. silhouette

From values which we define

Proximity, excellence and personalisation.

Maison Roula is the vision of a free, independent woman who makes her voice heard. It is a house with strong ecological and social values: production to order to limit stocks, reuse of scraps and stocks of dormant fabrics, and employment of Lebanese women benefiting from the Maison Roula brand.

better working conditions and quality of life than the Lebanese average.

Lina is very keen to maintain a close relationship with her customers, so she personally greets her brides and is often accompanied by Maman Roula, who regularly returns from Lebanon.

Brides-to-be and those accompanying them are welcomed into an elegant Parisian setting for personalised fittings, where kindness, expertise and know-how are the order of the day. As each dress is made-to-measure, it takes between one and two appointments before the final dress is delivered.
